The new, long-awaited version of the multiplayer for GTA Vice City called Vice City Multiplayer has come out. It was created over the course of four years, and during this time the team managed to add many new features to the game. There are three parts to the fix. 1. Limiting DEP (Data Execution Protection) only to Windows components. This is trading some system security to allow better compatibility with the the software you are running. 2. Forcing Windows to appear as an older version of Windows to the game when you run it. Again this is trying to make it compatible. 3. Corrected FBI Washington siren sound. Fixed siren corona placements in Police, Firetruck, Ambulance, Enforcer, Vice Cheetah, FBI Washington. Added siren corona to FBI Washington. Fixed taxi light corona placement for Taxi. Fixed police chopper’s search light and red tail light placement. Fixed a glitch allowing lightless taxis to spawn in GTA: Vice City should be compatible with Windows 10. I'm also using the original disc-based version and it works fine for me. The only changes I've made were to install the GInput mod (which allows an XInput controller to be used, such as the XBOX 360 one) and a no-cd exe (I believe it's a no-cd exe made from an original 1.0 exe).
only by using mods to fix it or setting the game to compatibility for windows 7 can the mouse work as it shouldfor the most part. if you didnt already, you should also enable directx play via control panel and limit the framerate through your gpu panel if 30fps via in-game fps limiter is something you dislike.
Click Apply, then hit Okay. Start your game, then go to Options, then Display Settings. Hover over Screen Resolution, and change it to your display resolution. Afterward, go back to the gta3 executable, Properties, then Compatibility. Uncheck Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution, hit apply, then okay, and start your game.
